SPECIAL DISCOUNT ON CLASSES TO BECOME CERTIFIED AS IMMIGRATION PARALEGAL

Four Free Methodist Churches are well on their way to being certified by the Board of Immigration Appeals to offer immigration legal clinics. The U.S. government is encouraging churches to open these clinics to provide honest immigration advice to any of the 12-million undocumented immigrants in the United States. Churches that have opened these clinics already are seeing growth as the clinic allows them to build relationships of trust with people who are all-too-often taken advantage of by unscrupulous “notarios” and some lawyers who take their money with promises of being able to provide legal status, knowing it’s not possible, and then never taking their calls or helping them. This is a justice issue more than an immigration issue.

The first step in opening an immigration legal clinic is taking a one-week class. And one of these classes is being offered in Atlanta November 30-December 4. The normal rate is $495. But for Free Methodists, this class offers a $150 discount, making it only $345. Get more information from Doug Britt at the World Ministries Center… 317-244-3660.
